I ended up rubbing it all off (after some vigorous scrubbing) and continuing the makeup look with my own trusty L’Oreal True Match foundation. Such a shame. The star of the show is definitely the Olivia Hale Brush Set. Did I mention this is a dupe for the Real Techniques Core Collection? I honestly don’t think that there is any cheaper product out there that works better than this. My number 1 budget product has always been Poundland’s liquid eyeliner but this is even cheaper than that- albeit by 1p but sure every penny counts! So, if you are looking to try some new products, update your make up collection or just simply try something new then I cannot recommend Olivia Hale enough.As you can see, they retail a soft brown eyebrow pencil, in which I’ve been testing out my brushing through my brows with my brow brush and building up the colour. You do have to apply a couple of times to build up intensity, but it’s super soft and blendable, giving the same type of scope I’ve noticed from eyebrow pencils from Rimmel and Barry M.

I’m yet to try out the eye shadows, but these two shades below in Boysenberry (the deeper purple) and Walnut Whisper have been added to my bridal makeup kit straight away. I swatched the brown shade (the Walnut Whisper) and it’s a warm shimmery brown shade which would look incredible blended into the crease of bridal eye makeup. How are you all? The items retail from 99p, and when I actually received a huge box of the brand to try, at first thought I figured they must be a new premium brand. You all know by now that I love a bargain but when it comes to your face I just think you need to be careful about what you are actually applying to your skin as sometimes there can be a huge difference in quality between a high end make-up brand and a budget brand. But sometimes you discover wee budget gems that don’t cost you an arm and a leg and can really surprise you so as much as I can be a bit of a make-up snob I also love nothing more than finding affordable make-up that is also really good quality, especially when it comes to everyday products.

There are 2 products included in the set, a dark brown cream and a slightly lighter powder. I tend to use the cream – a tiny brush is included but like so many other products I found the application is much better using a dedicated brush. I have ombre hair which is very dark brown at the top so I like my eyebrows to be a similar shade. The colour lasts all day and it is as good as the HD brows kit for sure. I was recently dragged in to Home Bargains and Poundworld by my 2 year old daughter who is addicted to shopping for toys 🙄
