Our Service is an online platform which provides Members with information (e.g. bottle facts, market-indices, market values and prices) on (mostly) whisky and allows Members to add information to the platform. We do not sell, nor does the Service provide any option to buy, any alcoholic products. Regardless of whether the Service offers the functionality to contribute, you are solely responsible and liable for any content and information that you create, upload, post, publish, link to, duplicate, transmit, record, display or otherwise make available on the Service or to other Members, such as chat messages, text messages, videos, audio, audio recordings, music, pictures, photographs, text and any other information or materials, whether publicly posted or privately transmitted (“Contributions”). The proof varies depending on the year of release. The 2018 batch (also the first release) was bottled at 55.3% ABV; the 2019 batch came to us 55.1% ABV. What disappoints me a little, though, is that there is no information about coloring (according to the Irish Whiskey Technical File, Point 4.1.5.2, E150a can be used in Irish whiskeys for coloring purposes prior to bottling). If Jameson is marketing it as a premium whiskey, I expect the label to contain, what I call, the basic three: age statement, use of filtration, and use of coloring. That’s the bare minimum. Each and every Member must be of legal drinking age in its country of residence to be allowed to use the Service. If no such law exists in a Member’s country of residence, the Member has to be over 21 years old to use the Service. We have the right to ask you to provide proof of your age and/or to provide further identification to prevent underage usage and/or for any other legal or legitimate purpose. By using the Service, and by creating an account you represent, warrant and confirm that you are of legal age. Our Story

The Irish will tell you they invented whiskey-making, and it wasn’t until the Middle Ages that Irish monks brought distilling techniques across the waters to Scotland. Yet that short distance has been far enough that the two whiskeys evolved, over the centuries, into very different styles. Jameson 18 Years is made using a traditional Irish whiskey-making process. The three signature distillates are first aged separately in American and Spanish oak barrels for at least 18 years. The distillates are then married together in a fresh American oak barrel for at least 6 months. This final marrying period adds a unique complexity and elegance to the whiskey. What are the flavours of Jameson 18 Years? Nothing in the Terms shall exclude or limit our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or for death or personal injury resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct by us. Matured for 18 years in hand-selected oak casks from Europe and America, this rare whiskey is finished in first-fill bourbon barrels. This rite of passage introduces subtle traces of vanilla to an exceptionally balanced, mellow whiskey with a lingering finale of wood, spice and toffee. An elder statesman of our portfolio, each bottle of this unique whiskey is individually numbered. Second, a quintessential style of Irish whiskey is single pot still whiskey, which is made from a combination of malted and unmated barley (30% of each, at least) and produced in pot stills at a single distillery. That being said, a blended Irish whiskey could be blends of malt and grain whiskeys (just like blended Scotch whisky), or blends of single pot still and grain whiskeys, or blends of malt and single pot still whiskeys… Well, the combination is too complex for even multiple tweets. This is the same alcohol content as most other Irish whiskeys. What is the best way to drink Jameson 18 Years? In the mouth: A liquid dessert! It has a creamy, oily mouthfeel. That chocolate note carries on to the palate. Caramel, hazelnut chocolate, citrus, macadamia-like milky nuttiness, and dark fruits. I can taste the wood influence – a bit of oakiness and leather – but they are well-integrated. A beautiful long finish, with lingering spiciness accompanied by sweetness. There’s a tad of bitterness near the very end. Overall, it’s full-bodied and well balanced. Conclusions: We may, but are not under any obligation, to release new functionalities and tools or other features for the Service every now and then. Any new functionalities, tools and features shall be part of and governed by the Terms from the moment they are launched and/or available.
