About this deal

As well as less heated bars (25 compared to the larger model's 36) each drying bar is also narrower (43cm in width compared to 57cm for the deluxe version) and crucially the distance between each tier is reduced, offering a 33cm gap compared to the deluxe models 37. It’s durable enough to handle heavy, wet clothing without bucking, giving you the same great performance every time you use it.

In fact, the platforms can be folded down on either side so that it takes up even less space if you only need to dry half a load. The downsides are that the fan does make for a noisier addition to the household than a silent railed rack – we found that we definitely wanted this option set up in a room with a closed door rather than one we were using – and, the setup is more time-consuming. Setting up your airer is a breeze, with no tools required all you need to do is clip the legs on, plug in the unit and switch it on and you are all set! The 3-tiered design offers 36 heated drying bars overall, which means 21 metres of drying space that can hold up to 15kg of washing. It takes about four or five hours for cotton and linen and over ten hours for jumpers and thick materials.

hour so can't complain at the cost to run it although will be on overnight to manage to dry anything. A cover is also included with this airer which not only helps to discreetly cover your laundry but will also help to retain heat in a smaller area making for fast drying times! With versatile open-sided shelves that provide easier access, you can make use of the full clothes dryer rack and even fold some of the shelves away when not required to take up even less space. One of Lakeland's bestselling heated clothes airers, the original Dry:Soon 3-Tier Heated Airer has a 15kg drying capacity, but lacks a few useful features compared to the 'Deluxe', including slightly awkward crossbar supports which make clothes hanging more fiddly and get in the way of draping larger items. With versatile open-sidedshelves that provide easier access, you can make use of the full clothes dryer rack and even fold some of the shelves awaywhen not required to take up even less space.

For kids' clothing in particular, it's still a workable size though, and if space is at a premium, it may be the best option for a smaller home. Seems quite sturdy for small washing items, underwear, socks etc but very dissappointed that the rails only get warm and can definitely NOT be described as hot. Running at 1,000 Watts, it also uses more energy than some other airers featured here, but it makes up for it in efficiency (and it’s very useful in the event that you’ve run out of emergency shirts). If you compare how much it costs to use a heated airer to how much it costs to run a tumble drier then you should be pleasantly surprised, although exact energy use depends on the make and model of each, and how much and what type of washing you're drying.
